Buildagram is a construction set that empowers learners to make their ideas concrete by exploring mathematical shapes and relations. Buildagram unites the creativity of free-play with the structure of geometry, allowing learners to take the 2D shapes of a tangram puzzle and transform them into boundless 3D creations.
The set consists of tangram pieces with customized cutouts — these cutouts enable the pieces to be connected in ways that facilitate 3D construction. By adding another dimension to their creations, learners can comprehend the spatial relations behind their designs.
Challenge cards depict the flat projections of a 3D object from three different vantage points: front, side, and top (aerial). Much like a tangram puzzle, the cards challenge the learner to recreate the entire 3D structure just by interpreting the 2D silhouettes.
Through the digital application, learners can upload and share their own creations, making personalized challenge cards for the rest of the Buildagram community.
